Overview

The Rossignol Arcade W 84 is the most demanding women's model in the 2026/27 Arcade line. Rossignol aims it at advanced and expert women and says it combines "race technology and a freeride construction" with a wider platform and a short radius. It shares the 132/84/120 mm shape of the men's Rossignol Arcade 84, and at the shared lengths Rossignol lists the same radius as the men's 26/27 Arcade 84, but the women's ski runs from 146 to 176 cm instead of 152 to 184 cm. It is the only women's Arcade with a titanal beam and Air Tip, and it uses Boost, the most responsive of Rossignol's three flex profiles. Rossignol sells it flat (Open) or with a Konect interface; shop sets pair the Konect version with the NX 12 binding.

On-snow performance

On paper this is a carving ski with a wide base. A Titanal Beam underfoot and rectangular full sidewalls should give it noticeably more edge hold and rebound than the carbon Arcade W 82, and the Boost flex suggests it wants to be pushed. The radius stays short for an 84 mm ski, 13 m at 160 cm, so the natural turn is a tight to medium carve, and the broad 120 mm tail should keep pressure on the edge until the end of the turn. Rossignol credits V-A-S with smooth snow contact and control at higher speed. Air Tip lightens the tip and tail, and the tip and tail rocker keeps turn entry easy and lets the ski pivot in bumps or soft snow. At 1.7 kg per ski in 160 cm (Open version) it is not heavy, so it will feel lively rather than locked-in in chopped snow.

  • Weight per ski (Open): 1.6 / 1.7 / 1.8 / 1.9 kg for 152 / 160 / 168 / 176 cm. Rossignol's column says "kg/pair", but these are single-ski values. The Konect version weighs about 0.2 kg more per ski.

Who it's for & comparisons

The Arcade W 84 is for strong intermediate to expert women who carve with intent and want a ski that holds on firm snow but still turns quickly. Its 120 mm tail is the widest in this group, which points to more hold at the end of the turn. The Salomon Stance w 84 has a single titanal layer and a much narrower 105 mm tail, so it should release turns more easily. The Volkl Mantra 84 w has a 110 mm tail and comes in a shorter 149–163 cm run, a good fit for smaller skiers. The Nordica Wild belle dc 84 is the lightest of the three at 1.41 kg per ski in 156 cm and has a gentler on-piste rocker. Inside Rossignol, the Rossignol Arcade w 82 is the softer carbon option for skiers who are not ready for metal.

Pros, cons and verdict

Pros

  • Titanal Beam, rectangular sidewalls and Boost flex for strong edge hold.
  • Short radius for an 84 mm ski, 13 m at 160 cm.
  • Wide 120 mm tail that holds the end of the turn.
  • Air Tip and tip and tail rocker keep it easy to pivot.

Cons

  • The stiff Boost flex asks for an active, confident skier.
  • A titanal piste ski at 1.6–1.9 kg per ski, so not a sensible base for a touring setup.
  • Lighter than heavy metal skis, so less damp in chopped snow at speed.
  • Longest length is 176 cm.

Verdict: A strong, quick-turning women's all-mountain carver with titanal and a broad tail. Choose it if you push your skis on piste and want a little soft-snow range; choose the Arcade W 82 if you want an easier, softer ski.
