On a wide morning blue the Quartz 72 is genuinely easy. The light Symbio Core lets the ski roll edge to edge with minimal input, and the single titanal sheet gives enough bite to hold a clean line where a wood-only carver would wash out. The Fast Grip shovel keeps the tip planted while the Hook Free tail lets the back end drift cleanly out of any hard turn — a deliberately forgiving combination. It is not built to be charged: at red-run speeds it gives up the line earlier than the Wave 74, but inside its working range it is one of the most confidence-building boutique carvers available.
