Hero lt ti review
Detailed review of the Rossignol Hero LT Ti (26/27): 71 mm, 15-18 m, beech core, full titanal, Power Tip, Konect. Feel, turns, pros, cons and specs.
Overview
The Hero LT Ti is Rossignol's long-turn piste carver for the 26/27 season. Retailers and Rossignol's own product text call it the Hero LT Ti, while the product title on rossignol.com still reads Hero Elite LT Ti. That older name belongs to the 25/26 ski, which keeps its own page here: the Rossignol Hero elite lt ti. The 26/27 ski is more than a new label. Rossignol lists a new 120-71-102 mm shape, radii from 15 to 18 m over four lengths, and two technologies it presents as new for the Hero collection: Power Tip and Predictive Sidecut. It is a Konect system ski that Rossignol rates advanced to expert and 100% piste.
On-snow performance
LT stands for long turn, and the numbers agree. The 177 cm length has a 17 m radius and the 182 cm goes to 18 m, so this ski belongs on open, freshly groomed slopes where a turn can run. It is not built for tight, crowded pistes. A 120 mm tip over a 71 mm waist is a moderate sidecut, so on paper the ski should feel steady through the middle of the arc rather than grabby at the start. The full titanal layer and LCT (Line Control Technology) are there for grip and calm at speed, and the ski will reward a forward stance and a committed edge angle. Rossignol says Predictive Sidecut blends several radii through the turn, and Power Tip connects the shovel to the titanal layer for a quicker, smoother entry. The tip rocker is short. Most of the base is traditional camber, which keeps a long edge on hard snow. At 2.2 to 2.4 kg per ski, expect a heavy, planted ride that does not like being thrown around.

What changed from 25/26: Ski Essentials lists the 2026 Hero Elite LT Ti at 121/71/101 mm with 18 m at 177 cm. The 26/27 ski is 120-71-102 with 17 m at 177 cm and adds Power Tip.
Who it's for & comparisons
The Hero LT Ti suits strong piste skiers who like big, GS-style turns but want a Konect system ski rather than a race-plate ski. Within the line, the Rossignol Hero st ti is the short-turn sister (68 mm, 11-14 m), and the Rossignol Hero master lt is the race-room long-turn ski on an R22 plate. Outside Rossignol, the Blizzard Firebird wrc (68 mm, 16.5-19.5 m, three titanal layers, FDT race plate) and the Volkl Racetiger gs (67 mm, 15-18 m, two sheets of titanal) are narrower and closer to a race feel. The Head Worldcup rebels e speed (68 mm, 15.1-19.4 m) is another long-radius option. At 71 mm the LT Ti is the widest of this group underfoot.
Pros, cons and verdict
Pros
- Long 15-18 m radii for fast, open groomers.
- Full titanal layer and LCT for grip and calm at speed.
- New Power Tip and Predictive Sidecut for 26/27.
- Konect system with a choice of NX 12 or SPX 14 binding.
Cons
- 2.2-2.4 kg per ski: heavy, and hard work in short turns.
- The long radius feels slow on narrow, busy pistes.
- Only four lengths (167-182 cm), nothing for shorter or lighter skiers.
- The Konect plate limits your binding choice.
- 920 euros with the NX 12 binding at Rossignol puts it in a high price tier.
Verdict: The Hero LT Ti is the 26/27 version of Rossignol's long-turn titanal carver, with a new shape, Power Tip and Predictive Sidecut. Choose it for big, fast arcs on open groomers; choose the Hero ST Ti if your pistes are short and busy.
