The Enforcer 104 Free is a playful freeride/all-mountain ski built to be a daily driver for freeriders who like to surf powder but still charge hard. At 104 mm underfoot it strikes a balance between float and maneuverability. The Powder Rocker profile (high-rise tip and tail with camber underfoot) gives a surfy feel in soft snow while keeping a planted middle for variable conditions. Available in five lengths (165–191 cm) and fitted with an energy 2 TI sandwich and a carbon chassis, it feels composed yet lively and invites exploratory skiing.
Construction blends sandwich full sidewall with dual titanal laminates and a carbon chassis plus carbon stringers. The core is a performance wood mix (poplar/beech) and features a True Tip—reduced ABS and extended wood core—to lower swing weight and sharpen handling. Sintered graphite base improves glide and wax retention. Specs matter: tip/waist/tail (≈133–135 / 104 / 122–124 mm) affect float and turn initiation; turn radius governs perceived agility; listed weights influence swing and acceleration. Together these choices aim for stability without killing playfulness.
In powder and soft snow the rocker profile shines: generous tip and tail rocker deliver lift and a surfy, easy-going attitude. At 104 mm the ski won’t paddle like a 110+ float specialist, but the combination of rocker, true tip and carbon chassis gives the sensation of more float than the numbers suggest. The carbon keeps the ski lively so quick direction changes are effortless and the ski resists burying its tail. Think of it alongside skis like the Rustler 10 or QST 106—similar surfing character but with slightly more metal-driven dampness and control.
On groomers and hardpack the titanal layers and full sidewall come into play: the ski stays stable at speed and soaks up chatter well. You get solid grip and predictable edge hold when you load it into carved turns; the listed radii (e.g., 17.5 m at 179 cm) suit medium-to-long turns. It won’t feel as razor-sharp as a dedicated piste race ski, but it delivers a sweet spot between solid carving ability and the torsional forgiveness needed when you exit the track into mixed snow or hit chop.
Who should buy it? The Enforcer 104 Free is for advanced to expert skiers who want a do-it-all freeride ski that still plays in powder and encourages creative skiing. Drawbacks include relative weight—less ideal for skinning or long pack-and-hike days—and bulkier handling in super-tight trees. If you’re primarily a piste jockey or lightweight touring fanatic, look elsewhere. Final verdict: a highly capable, versatile freeride daily that balances float, stability and play; choose length for more pop and agility or longer for higher-speed stability.
