Kästle Sublime 93 — Review

The Sublime 93 is the widest and most freeride-leaning member of Kästle's new Sublime line — 93 mm under foot, 14.7 m radius, 1,770 g per ski at 176 cm. Construction matches the Sublime 83/88 (double titanal Twin Core, Powerzone Sandwich Sidewall, Hollowtech 2.0) but the wider platform and longer radius push it firmly into mixed-snow/light-pow territory while keeping the All-Mountain Rocker and Hook Free tail signature.

On firm groomers the Sublime 93 still carves better than its 93 mm waist suggests — the double titanal Twin Core delivers race-grade edge bite and the 14.7 m sidecut keeps medium-radius arcs clean even on ice. Where it earns its keep is in the kind of broken, day-three afternoon snow that makes most 88s wash out. The progressive tail rocker stays planted through chunky chop, the Hook Free tail releases on demand, and the mass (1,770 g) holds the line at speed. In real soft snow it floats predictably for a directional ski with no significant tip rocker but won't replace a true freeride platform.
