Overview
The ATK V-Crest 10 lt is the brakeless light-touring sibling of ATK's Crest 10, sharing the same Cam Release System and Elastic Response System heel but ditching the brake assembly and trading the aluminum toe piece for a composite version. The result is a meaningfully lighter binding (262 g per side vs the Crest 10's 295 g) at a lower price point, aimed at tourers who run leashes.

The composite toe piece is the main on-snow difference: it's lighter and resists ice build-up, but on cold high-friction days the aluminum Crest 10 toe may feel a touch more positive on step-in. The Elastic Response System keeps retention through chunder; for a 262 g binding the elastic feel is competitive.
Durability and service
7075 aluminum + POM + stainless steel + composite toe. The composite toe is built to resist freezing and snow accumulation; ATK's track record on these composites is solid. Dealer service for re-springing and pin replacement. Adding the optional brake kits later is a shop-level operation but supported by ATK.
Mounting and brake sizing
The V-Crest 10 lt is brakeless out of the box. If you add the optional Push Button Kit later, select within ~5 mm of ski waist: 86 mm for 80-86 mm, 91 mm for 86-91 mm, 97 mm for 91-97 mm, 102 mm for 97-102 mm, 108 mm for 102-108 mm. Use a leash for the brakeless configuration. Tech-insert boots required.
