The ATK crest 8 is the lower-DIN entry in the Crest tour-binding line, sized at DIN 3-8 for lighter skiers and intermediate-to-advanced tourers who don't need the higher release values of the Crest 10. It shares the Crest's full-pin tech architecture, asymmetric toe springs and the Elastic Response System with the rest of the line, in a binding aimed at climbing efficiency on narrower waist skis.

Select brake width within ~5 mm of the ski's waist: 86 mm for 80-86 mm waists, 91 mm for 86-91 mm, 97 mm for 91-97 mm, 102 mm for 97-102 mm, 108 mm for 102-108 mm. The 108 mm cap means the Crest 8 is not the right binding for fat freeride-tour skis above ~108 mm — pair those with a Raider 12 / Raider 13 evo or a Hy 13 free instead. Boots must have tech inserts.
