The Mindbender 88 anchors K2's rebuilt Mindbender collection for 26-27 as the narrowest resort-oriented shape, replacing the outgoing Mindbender 89Ti as the go-to titanal-driven all-mountain 88. Verified sidecut is 128-88-116 mm across all four lengths (164, 170, 176, 182 cm), with per-length radii of 13.5 / 14.8 / 16.1 / 17.4 m, and a measured weight of roughly 1870 g per single ski at 182 cm. K2 pairs an Aspen-Paulownia wood core, a Titanal I-Beam reinforcement, and K2's new Dark Matter damping — stainless-steel-infused TPU pucks placed at contact points, said to cut vibration while shedding roughly 10% of the outgoing generation's mass. Bio-Resin keeps flex consistent in cold.

The 88 mm waist and per-length graduated radii (from a punchy 13.5 m at 164 cm to a longer 17.4 m at 182 cm) let the ski behave more like a slalom-influenced carver at shorter lengths and a proper mid-radius all-mountain ski in 182 cm. The Titanal I-Beam sits over-the-edge rather than as a full sheet, so the ski keeps a lot of directional edge grip without the plow-through mass of a full-titanal 88. Roughly 1870 g at 182 cm places it lighter than the outgoing 89Ti, and the Dark Matter damping is claimed to trim vibration at the contact points where chatter is worst. Off piste the narrow waist handles firm crud and refrozen chop but is not built for real powder.

Compared to the Head Kore 88 Ti the Mindbender 88 is slightly damper and more titanal-driven, with less of the Kore's carbon snap. Against the Icelantic Torrent 88 it is heavier and more damp — the Torrent uses a V12 Carbon Matrix in place of titanal, so the Mindbender wins in high-speed groomer chop but the Torrent is livelier out of the turn. The Nordica Enforcer 89 is a closer feel match, though the Mindbender's per-length radius progression is more aggressive.
