This powder flagship from the Mindbender family is built for women who chase deep snow and big lines. With a generous 116 mm waist it delivers strong float in fresh snow, while the pronounced rockered tip and tail make for effortless planing and easy turn entry in powder. The ski targets advanced to expert skiers seeking a blend of high-speed stability and playful maneuverability through trees and steep couloirs, offering confidence in big-mountain, soft-snow conditions.
The construction pairs an Aspen Micro Block core with a Spectral Braid variable-angle fiber layup and carbon/flax reinforcements in the laminate. The Powder Rocker profile (rockered tip, camber underfoot, rockered tail) boosts float and rebound; the dimensions (143/116/132 mm tip/waist/tail) influence flotation and how the ski initiates turns; the stated radius (~18 m at 170 cm) is an indicator of turn size; and weight varies by length, affecting swing weight and agility. Each spec directly shapes behavior in deep and variable snow.
On snow the ski feels confident and predictable in soft conditions. In deep, untracked powder it planes effortlessly and stays composed at higher speeds; the wide tip and tail keep the ski riding high. In trees and tight terrain it is surprisingly nimble for its width thanks to the rockered tips and slightly flared tail. On firm or icy snow it requires more input: the softer flex and wide platform limit edge bite and precise carving compared with narrower, stiffer all-mountain skis.
Key strengths include outstanding float, a playful tail that aids release and quick pivoting, and solid stability when charging lines. Drawbacks are the sometimes-noticeable weight (varies with length) and compromised hardpack performance where edge hold is limited. Compared to rival big-float women’s powder skis such as certain QST- or Soul-family models, this ski leans more playful and forgiving rather than brutally stiff, making it better for surfy, energetic off-piste days than for aggressive piste charging.
Who should consider this ski? If your focus is off-piste powder days and big-mountain surf, this is a strong contender — especially in 170 or 177 cm for a balance of stability and maneuverability. If you spend most days on groomers or demand high-speed carved turns, choose a narrower, stiffer option instead. I recommend demoing the ski in the length you want and confirming the exact weight per ski for that length, then match it with bindings that suit your skiing style and DIN requirements.
