Moment Meridian 107 — Review

The Meridian 107 is Moment's 107 mm fully-rockered directional all-mountain / freeride ski, sitting between the more playful Wildcat 108 and the wider Meridian 117 in the current lineup. Verified sidecut is 137-107-127 mm across all four lengths (171, 181, 187, 193 cm), with radii of 18 / 21 / 23 / 25 m and weight per single ski of roughly 1950 / 2050 / 2150 / 2300 g (per Moment's per-pair figures halved). Construction is a vertically laminated poplar and ash wood core with triaxial fiberglass and carbon stringers.

Full rocker plus a 23 m radius at 187 cm gives the Meridian 107 a distinct big-mountain freeride feel — it drifts into and out of turns rather than locking onto a rail, and rewards a strong forward stance in variable snow. In powder the fully rockered tip and tail float and pivot easily. On piste the 23 m radius and rockered contact points make it a long-arc carver at best; short turns feel forced. Blister's measured 2113–2121 g at 187 cm confirms it is a heavier build than the aspen-cored Wildcat 108, which shifts the character toward stability at speed rather than lightweight playfulness.

Full length, knot-free, vertically laminated poplar and ash wood core provides both liveliness and damping. Triaxial fiberglass adds torsional stiffness while carbon stringers add pop. Sintered 4001 Durasurf UHMWPE base, 2.2 mm Rockwell 48 hardened steel edges, ABS sidewalls. Sidecut is 137-107-127 mm across all lengths, with radius growing from 18 m at 171 cm to 25 m at 193 cm. Mount point is -5 cm from center — a directional freeride bias. Full rocker profile with no traditional camber.

Compared to the Moment Wildcat 108 the Meridian 107 is stiffer and more damp — the Wildcat is livelier and more playful, the Meridian holds line better at speed. Against the Moment Countach 110 it is narrower and slightly more accessible in tighter terrain but gives up some pure freeride authority. Compared to the Line Sakana, a 105 mm surfy freeride shape, the Meridian is more directional and long-arc oriented.
